Demo against Gepco for overbilling

GUJRANWALA: Hundreds of labourers and furnace owners staged a demonstration against alleged overbilling by the Gepco here on Monday.
They blocked a road and chanted slogans against the Gepco officers. The protesters alleged whenever they visited the Gepco Alam Chowk sub-division office, the officials demanded bribe for correction of bills. In the meantime, the Gepco high-ups reached the spot and assured them of resolving their problems.

On a tip-off, the FIA raided and arrested Anjum Anis and Saad Nasir, who were involved in sending people abroad through bogus documents. They were wanted by the FIA in several cases.
