European Union delegation calls on CJP
ISLAMABAD: A six-member delegation of European Union (EU) on Wednesday called on Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, senior Judge of the Supreme Court.
The delegation was led by Jean Francois Cautain, the Ambassador of EU. Other members of the delegation were Michael Gahler, Miss Lora Borissova, Miss Hannah Roberts, Alexander Matus and and Johan Sorensen.
Chief Justice of Pakistan welcomed the delegates and introduced to them the judicial system according to the Constitution of Pakistan. He stated that the Supreme Court of Pakistan examined that fundamental rights as enshrined in the Constitution are ensured to the people of Pakistan.
Similarly, Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, Senior Pusine Judge Supreme Court of Pakistan explained the measures taken by the Supreme Court for the effective and speedy dispensation of justice without fear or favour.
On this occasion, the delegates thanked the Chief Justice of Pakistan as well as Justice Mian Saqib Nisar for sparing time for them and sharing legal experience and knowledge.
