Decision to establish PAL office in Multan lauded
Islamabad: The scholars and poets of southern Punjab Monday welcomed the decision of the government to establish a regional office of Pakistan Academy of Letters (PAL) in Multan.
Talking to APP Razi ud Din Razi, a prominent poet and scholar of southern Punjab said that the decision to establish PAL regional office in Multan would help in resolving the issues being faced by the scholars and poets of areas.
He said that the literary community across Southern Punjab appreciate the efforts of Advisor to Prime Minister on National History and Literary Heritage Irfan Siddiqui for taking keen interest in resolving the problems of scholars and poets. He said that PAL, Multan office would play a very vital role in promoting the literary work of the region.
Renowned poet Shakir Hussain Shakir and Nawazish Ali Nadeem also welcomed the decision saying that the government was keen to promote arts and literature of the country.
