Siraj for resolving PIA issue amicably
LAHORE
JI ameer Senator Sirajul Haq said it was imperative upon the government to show magnanimity and gentleness in response to the flexibility displayed by PIA employees union to solve the issue through dialogue.
It seems rulers were deliberately delaying the matter for achieving some ends as displaying unnecessary stubbornness on such delicate matters and refusing to give ears to other view only worked to complicate the matter further, he said while talking to party delegations calling on him at Mansoorah on Monday.
He said harassing PIA employees and raiding their homes was a shameful act besides the stubbornness on privatising the national flag carrier. He said the masses’ eyes were upon the government for restoring the order as their patience was reaching to the brim owing to the worst performance of the PML-N government so far. He said rulers were busy minting money from petrol, gas and power while on the other hand these necessities were becoming cheaper all over the world.
He recalled that rulers in the past never took the masses into confidence about the proceeds of the privatisation, adding that it was time rulers must come up before parliament on the matter if they were sincere in privatising state institutions.
He said unless rulers took the employees and masses into confidence the issue would never be solved amicably.
