Two militants killed in Quetta search operation
QUETTA: Law enforcement agencies arrested 35 suspected persons and shot dead two alleged militants during search operation in different parts of provincial capital on Sunday.
According to a spokesman, the law enforcers, acting on a tip-off, carried out search operations in different areas of the provincial capital including Eastern Bypass, Sariab and Brewery, during which 35 suspected persons were arrested.
Two alleged militants were also killed in the operation, while arms and a computer had also been seized from their possession.And in Dera Bugti, the Frontier Corps (FC) foiled a sabotage bid and defused improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on Sunday.
According to a spokesman, the FC personnel along with bomb disposal squad team reached the site after receiving information and defused the IEDs which were planted beside a road.On the other hand, the death toll from the Saturday’s bomb blast in Quetta increased as another wounded person succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
Ten injured persons are under treatment in CMH, among which three FC officials are said to be in a critical condition, whereas those admitted in Civil Hospital are out of danger.
