Five killed, 14 injured in two road accidents

BHAKKAR: Five people, including a teacher, were killed and 14 others injured in two road accidents here on Wednesday.
In the first incident, a passenger coach was coming to the city from Layyah when a truck collided with it at Behal. As a result, four people were killed on the spot while 14 others were injured. The injured people were shifted to the DHQ Hospital from where five of them were referred to the Multan Nishtar Hospital.
In the second incident, teacher Shamim along with her husband Munawar was going to the school when a bus hit their motorcycle at Angra Daggar near Darya Khan. As a result, Shamim was injured seriously. She died on reaching the Darya Khan THQ Hospital.
Meanwhile, brothers of Shamim protested against the doctors and held them responsible for her death. They said that Shamim died as the doctors allegedly did not treat her timely. They have filed a complaint with the City police for registration of a case.
