Despite being the third largest city of Sindh, Sukkur lacks basic services. Not a single street in the city is free of potholes. Its roads are bumpy and uneven. The drainage system has collapsed.
The Sindh government has claimed to have spent over two-and-a-half billion rupees on the city’s development work but one can hardly see any progress. The city – once considered a fort of the PPP – has become a political orphan.
