Locals robbed of valuables

DASKA: Locals were deprived of valuables in three strikes in circle police Daska on Tuesday.

Sajjad Mehmood was the way to home from Gujranwala when two bandits intercepted him and snatched cash, a cellphone and his motorcycle.

Meanwhile, in the area of Satra police, Shahid Mehmood was intercepted by gunmen and was robbed of cash, a cellphone.

Shahbaz parked his motorcycle outside a bank, when he came back he found it missing.

GIRLS INJURED: Five girls were injured when a speeding car hit their van on Tuesday.

Muhammad Waqar was carrying fifteen girl students to Daska in a van. When they reached near Jesriwala a speeding car hit the van, injuring five girls who were shifted to civil hospital.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT: A youth tried to commit suicide in the area of Motra police limits on Tuesday.

Nasir Mehmood was jobless and he used to quarrel with his family members and on the day of the incident he consumed poisonous pills and was rushed to civil hospital from there he was referred to Gujranwala.

CHARAS RECOVERED: City police Tuesday arrested four drug peddlers and recovered narcotics from their possession.

On a tip-off, the police arrested Adnan, Haroon, Rashid and Ashraf and recovered 3,234 gram charas and six litres liquor from their possession.
