“Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, Aqeel Khan, Yasir Khan, and M Abid along with four officials and four women players will leave by Qatar Airways to India on Thursday,” said Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) secretary Khalid Rehmani on Tuesday.
He added that Aisam was in Lahore, while Aqeel and Yasir were in Islamabad.
The tennis event will be played in Guwahati from February 7-11.
There will be 24 matches on the first day, 28 on the second, 14 on the third, seven on the fourth, and two finals on the last day.
The events are men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
“The Indian and Sri Lankan players are better and we are expecting tough competition,” said Aqeel Khan.
There is no team event in the Games. “We expect to secure medals in both individual and doubles categories,” added Aqeel.
