Final battle with govt in March: Siraj
LAHORE
Jamat-e-Islami ameer Senator Sirajul Haq claimed the rulers had broken all records of oppression and tyranny and JI workers should prepare themselves for a final battle with the government in March.
He was addressing a workshop of JI leaders at district, zone and UC levels at Mansoora on Saturday evening.
Sirajul Haq said the rulers had levied taxes worth billions on the poor instead of bringing back the country’s $376 billion from abroad. He said the country must be freed from the clutches of economic and political terrorists as well. He said the NAP against terrorism was not been implemented in true spirit but was being used for political goals. He said there had been no satisfactory progress on reforms in Balochistan and FATA, ending poverty and illiteracy, reforms in criminal justice system and the registration of madrissahs. He said at the behest of colonial powers, Ulema and Muslims were being blamed for terrorism.
The JI chef said the tax amnesty bill was aimed at protection of feudal lords, vaderas and capitalists and those plundering billions were being facilitated. Politics has become a lucrative business, he added. Sirajul Haq said Islam is the messenger of world peace. Enemies of Islam are carrying out the massacre of Muslims but
at the same time, blaming Muslims for terrorism.
