Truck loaded with substandard desi ghee seized

KASUR: AC Wirda Mashood along with police arrested a mini truck driver and recovered substandard desi ghee from his vehicle.

On a tip-off, the AC along with her team stopped a mini truck near District Hospital Chowk, which was heading towards Shahbaz Road. During checking of the vehicle, the team recovered substandard desi ghee. The team arrested the truck driver Abid who told that the ghee was prepared with chemicals and was being taken for a famous sweet shop at Kot Andun. When contacted, SHO Malik Tariq told The News that a case would be registered on the report of the AC. Official sources told that a sample of desi ghee was sent for laboratory test for further action.
