Swine flu patient in Bahawalpur

BAHAWALPUR: Swine flu virus was confirmed in a patient at the Bahawal Victoria Hospital on Friday.
According to BVH Emergency Ward Director Dr Aamer Mehmood Bukhari, patient Naheed Akhtar of Muslim Town was admitted to the hospital four days ago and now swine flu virus has been confirmed through tests. After confirmation of the virus, she was shifted to an isolation ward in the hospital. According the doctors, she went to Toba Tek Singh to inquire after her relative where she fell ill.
CONVICTED: Anti-Terrorism Court Special Judge Khalid Arshad on Friday awarded 29-year imprisonment and Rs 400,000 fine to Bilal Muavia in a case registered under the Explosives Act and the Anti-Terrorism Act.
According to the prosecution, the CTD had arrested the convict with huge quantity of explosives during a search operation at Naushera Jadeed, Ahmadpur East tehsil.
