LG representatives take oath

CHAKWAL: Returning officers Thursday administered oath to local government representatives at Chakwal, Choa Saidan Shah, Bhoun, Talagang, Kallar Kahar, and Lawa tehsils headquarters.
Some 426 general councillors, 142 chairmen and vice-chairmen of 71 union councils of district Chakwal, including ward councilors of 6 municipals committees took oath.
The election schedule for special seats and chairmen and vice chairmen of local bodies election will be announced soon and the Election Commission of Pakistan have started preparation in this regard.
There will be 15 woman seats, 4 labour and peasants and 3 minority seats at every district council of the province. Every union council will elect 2 women, 2 labour and peasants, one youth and a minority councilor by chairmen, vice chairmen and six councilors. After the elections of special seats, the local government representatives will start work.
