10 plazas, shops sealed for not paying Property Tax

BHAKKAR: District Excise Officer Muhammad Ali Naveed on Saturday sealed 10 plazas and shops for not paying dues of Property Tax.
He also confiscated 30 motorcycle rickshaws for non-registration. According to the officer, the Punjab government had given a target of Rs 600 million for the year 2015-16 and out of which 40 per cent target had so far achieved. He said that a list of 200 defaulters had been prepared and further action was being taken against the defaulters. He said that delay in completion of files would not be tolerated while registering vehicles.
ANTI-ENCROACHMENT CAMPAIGN: On the order of a local court, the Darya Khan TMO has started anti-encroachment campaign here.
The TMO with the assistance of local police have started the campaign and encroachments are being removed from various bazaars of the city.
