Demand to construct CPEC route through Chitral
CHITRAL: Participants at a conference on Thursday urged the federal government to construct a route of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project in Chitral as it was a safe and shortest way that connected Pakistan with the Central Asian states. The demand was made during a conference organised by the Chitral chapter of Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the District Council Hall here.
District Nazim Maghfirat Shah presided over the session. The speakers said the project was of high value and would bring about an economic revolution in the region.
Senior Deputy President of the Chitral Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sartaj Ahmad Khan, said that they would not allow anyone to ignore the district in the fortune changer project. He vowed to continue the struggle for securing the rights of Chitral.
