SUKKUR: The Leader of the Opposition in Sindh Assembly, Haleem Adil Sheikh, has said that it was a wrong perception that the federal government was pondering over governor’s rule in Sindh, adding that there would be Prime Minister’s Rule in Sindh to cleanse the mess created by the corrupt PPP rulers for the past 13 years.

Addressing a press-conference in Sukkur on Thursday, the opposition leader hinted at an effective operation against bandits, drug dealers, criminals and the corrupt with the help of state institutions.

“The personnel of Rangers, Federal Investigation Agency, Anti-Narcotics Force, Pakistan Customs and other federal institutions will be asked to move into action on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan against criminals, killers and drug pushers in every part of the province very soon,” Sheikh said. Shaikh said the PTI government had already launched mega projects in Karachi and other districts of Sindh and would launch more projects in other districts too. He added they would be announced by the prime minister during public gatherings and meetings with aspirants, who are likely to join the PTI.

He said Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim and other PTI leaders would also participate in the public gathering in Thar on August 8 to kick start the drive against the corrupt rulers of Sindh. The PTI added that prior to the public gatherings of Prime Minister Imran Khan, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Quraishi would also organize a big public gathering in Mithi, Tharparkar, to show solidarity with the leaders of Bheel Intellectual Forum, PTI workers and members of the Bheel community, who were subjected to brutal police torture at the behest of PPP leaders.
