July 27, 2021

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Ulema Council and all its allied parties have congratulated Prime Minister Imran Khan and people of Azad Kashmir over PTI victory in Azad Kashmir elections.

“What the people of Kashmir have done is the love and affection they have for Pakistan and they have demonstrated their trust in the right leadership and God willing the day will come when Kashmiris will get the right to self-determination,” said PUC Chairman and Special Aide to Prime Minister on Interfaith Harmony and Middle East Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi while addressing a press conference here on Monday. He said the incident of Noor Muqaddam which has taken place in Islamabad and the instances of violence that are taking place with regard to women in other parts of the country are regrettable.

He said Pakistan’s foreign policy has improved a lot. Relations with Egypt, UAE, Iraq and Saudi Arabia have improved significantly. Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Amir Faisal bin Farhan will visit Pakistan with his delegation today. “The visit of the foreign minister is a proof of the stability and strength of Pak-Saudi relations and we will welcome our guest to Pakistan as we think the Saudi dignitaries are visiting their second home,” he said.

He said the Paigham-e-Pakistan draft was signed unanimously by Pakistan Ulema Council, Muttahida Ulema Board, Muttahida Jamiat Ahle Hadith, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam, Shia Ulema Council and the country’s leading Ulema. He said the Paigham-e-Pakistan draft is a consensus document after the Constitution of Pakistan. “Praise be to Allah, implementation on the Paigham-e-Pakistan draft will be ensured during the month of Muharram-ul-Haram and no one will be allowed to insult the sanctities of other religions and sects. He said countrywide tours have been scheduled from July 28 to ensure religious harmony in the country during the month of Muharram-ul-Haram. “With coordinated collaboration of the Pakistan Ulema Council and the Muttahida Ulema Board, implementation on the code of conduct of the Paigham-e-Pakistan draft will be ensured,” he said.
