DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Secretary Information Faisal Karim Kundi on Saturday said that rigging would take place in the election in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Talking to reporters here, however, he said nobody would be allowed to steal the mandate of the Kashmiris.
Criticising the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said it could not nominate its candidate for the slot of prime minister for AJK. He said that all the parties, including the PPP, had come up with the names of the candidates for the slot of the premier.
“The PTI is looking for an ATM. Therefore, it has failed to nominate its worker for the slot of the prime minister,” he said, adding that Prime Minister Imran Khan had closed his eyes to the corruption committed by PTI stalwart Jahangir Tareen.
“Contrary to his claims, Imran Khan has given NRO to Jahangir Tareen,” he sneered.
The former deputy speaker National Assembly said Prime Minister Imran Khan was helpless to take action against petrol, sugar and flour mafias.
“Petrol is being sold at the highest rate in the country’s history, which speaks volumes about the performance of the government,” he said.
Kundi said the PTI government had given a clean chit to the members of the mafias.
He said the government’s foreign policy was flawed and the prime minister has not attended a single meeting about national security. “Pakistan stands isolated at the international level owing to the flawed foreign policy of the government,” he added.
