Flash floods damage houses in Shabqadar

CHARSADDA: Flash floods damaged 24 houses in Matta area in Shabqadar tehsil in the district, officials said on Friday.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Human Rights and Relief Mohammad Ali said the district administration had started rescue activities to facilitate the food-hit people.
He said that tents and food were being provided to the affectees.
Mohammad Ali said that the flooding was caused by heavy rain over the last three days.
He said the nullahs swelled due to the heavy flooding and inundated the houses.
Local Revenue Officer Jan Ali said that a survey was being conducted to assess the damage.
