788m tonnes of waste disposed of in Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD: The Water and Sanitation Services Abbottabad( WSSCA) has lifted record 788 million tonnes of waste during the three days of Eidul Azha.
Media Manager WSSCA Umar Swati told reports that 130 collection points were established in four union councils and 125 workers were performing duty. “The round-the-clock operation remain operative for three days and all the wastes of sacrificial animals were dumped in the specially prepared trenches in the Salhad waste dump and later were covered with mud and sand,” he said, adding in 25 vehicles were used in the drive.
