Coronavirus SOPs implementation drive in Multan intensified
MULTAN: Authorities intensified COVID-19 implementation drive and monitoring teams sealed numbers of shops in the district and imposed heavy fines on violators on Monday.
The city district administration has also alerted all departments against Delta variant and issued strict instructions to departments concerned. The authorities sealed 21 business centres over violation of coronavirus SOPs.
The vigilance teams also fined participants of a wedding function and fined them Rs 50, 000. Shopkeepers were also imposed Rs 80,000 fine over violation of coronavirus regulations.
Meanwhile, health experts said the COVID-19 pandemic continues with emergence of more transmissible variants and cattle markets must adhere to guidelines for social distancing and protective measures.
They said during Eid prayer coronavirus SOPS must be employed. It has been made mandatory for all cattle vendors and sellers to get vaccinated against COVID-19 and unvaccinated would not be allowed to conduct cattle business in the market.
Every seller has been asked to come with a face mask. The health officials said stalls should be set up at a distance of at least 2 meters from each other while ensuring adequate space for their own animals.
The supporting arrangements must be made by the local authority. Sellers and customers should try and maintain a safe distance of 2 meters. Sellers and customers must not shake hands and avoid any other physical contact.
The seller must keep a disinfection formulation with 0.5% diluted bleach or 60%-80% dilute alcohol solution to disinfect the most frequently used surfaces by the customers, health officials said.
