KARACHI: The quarter-finals of the ongoing 62nd National Hockey Championship which were to be staged under floodlights, will now be played in daylight, on Wednesday (today) the tournament director Olympian Qamar Ibrahim said in a statement.
The decision was taken after the technicians detected some technical faults, which could take at least two days to repair.
Qamar said that all the teams had been informed about the change. He hoped that the semi-finals and final of the championship would be played under floodlights.
First quarter-final: NBP v Sui Southern Gas Company at 1pm. Second quarter-final: Pakistan International Airlines v Pakistan Television at 3:30pm.
