Land grabber arrested, Eid security plan finalised in Mardan
MARDAN: District police on Monday claimed to have arrested a land grabber and a robber, while it also finalised a security plan for Eid ul Azha in Mardan district.
After receiving a complaint, District Police Officer Dr Zahidullah Khan formed a team who arrested Noor Muhammad, who used to forcibly grab lands from people.Also on the DPO’s directions, the cops arrested two accused, identified as Umair and Daulat, who had reportedly snatched Rs55000 cash, gold earrings and a mobile phone from an elderly woman. During interrogation, the arrestees handed over the stolen items and cash amount to the police for onward submission to the complainant lady.
Eid security plan: Meanwhile, Mardan Police also finalised the security plan for Eidul Azha days and deployed more than 1000 cops for the purpose.The district police also strengthened vigilance at entry and exit points of the district as part of the Eid security plan while all mosques, trader centres and other public places would also be guarded.The DPO appealed to traders to keep an eye on their surroundings and inform the local police about any suspicious people, items like bag or vehicle parked anywhere in markets.
