Over 13kg charas seized, 44 arrested in Mardan

MARDAN: Narcotics Eradication Team (NET) recovered over 13kg charas while 44 persons including nine proclaimed offenders were arrested in raids across Mardan district.
District Police Officer Dr Zahidullah Khan said that the NET arrested 21 men and recovered over 13kg charas, 73 grams of heroin, and 383 grams ice from them. Cases were registered at various police stations of the district against the drug dealers.
Meanwhile, the cops also arrested nine proclaimed offenders and recovered 13 pistols, one Kalakov, one rifle, and bullets during raids in Toru, Par Hoti, Kharaki, and Shergarh areas.
“Under IGP’s directives, NET has expedited operations against drugs in Mardan,” said Dr Zahidullah.
