‘16 water plants installed outside govt schools’

JHANG: The district government has installed 16 water treatment plants outside the government schools to resolve the problem of clean drinking water.
Talking to media here on Monday, DCO Nadir Chattha said the Punjab government had provided special funds for the installation of 20 water treatment plants in the city. For their proper functioning on regular basis, he added, it was decided that water treatment plants should be installed outside the government schools and under the control of their heads, who would be responsible to manage their cleanliness and maintenances. To complete the task, required funds had been transferred to the schools councils for utilisation in transparent manners, he informed. Initially, installation of 16 water treatment plants had been completed in Sadr, City and Satellite Town areas and remaining work was in progress speedily, he maintained.
