Abid wins New Khan Punjab Open Tennis singles title

LAHORE: Mohammad Abid Abid beat Muzammil Murtaza 7-6, 3-0 (retired) to win the singles title of the New Khan Punjab Open Tennis Championship here at Punjab Tennis Academy.
In the men’s doubles final, Muzammil and Mudassar beat Abid and Heera Ashiq 4-6, 6-3, 10-7.
In the boys under-18 final, Asad Zaman beat Ahtesham Arif 7-6, 6-2.
In the girls under-18 final, Amna Ali Qayum beat Tooba Khan 6-0, 6-0.
In the boys under-14 final, Asad Zaman beat Nabeel Ali Qayum 4-0, 4-1.
In the boys under-14 doubles final, Asad Zaman and Zohaib Afzal Malik beat Sohaan Noor and Abubakar Khalil 8-1.
