Gandapur terms ZAB a ‘traitor’, Nawaz a ‘robber’
ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Ali Amin Khan Gandapur during an election campaign rally on Tuesday lashed out at the PPP and PMLN leaderships.
In his speech in Azad Kashmir, the minister declared Zulfikar Ali Bhutto a traitor and Nawaz Sharif a dacoit. He alleged that Zulfikar Ali Bhutto divided the country just for the sake of prime ministership. He then turned his guns towards Maryam Nawaz and said she claimed to be a Kashmiri, but in fact she is the daughter of Jatts. He alleged that the PPP and PML-N broke all the records of corruption.
During the election campaign, Ali Amin Gandapur announced to give a big development package once again after receiving votes.
The minister recalled his promise which he did in Gilgit-Baltistan to give a package of Rs10 million on the lead of one vote and rumoured that he would provide much more than what he was asking for.
Gandapur said Prime Minister Imran Khan improved the standing of Pakistan in the world while past rulers indebted the country and did nothing to improve living standards of masses.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Communications and Postal Services Murad Saeed said that crying foul by opposition before election is incomprehensible.
Addressing a public rally in Forward Kahuta, Murad Saeed said that parties that came in power for three to four times did nothing for the public.
Criticising PMLN, the minister said that leadership of the party preferred to meet actors than Hurriyat leadership in India but on the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan became ambassador of Kashmiris and highlighted the issue across the globe.
While lashing out at PPP leadership, Murad Saeed said that when Imran Khan challenged the United States, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari left for America. He also claimed that former president Asif Ali Zardari asked the CIA to attack tribal areas of the country.
Meanwhile, a shoe was hurled at Ali Amin Gandapur at an election rally in Bagh.
The shoe thrown at the federal minister hit the person standing next to him. The PTI workers caught the youth throwing the shoe and tortured him.
Police arrested the youth involved in the incident, but Ali Amin Gandapur told police that someone paid them to do the work. Gandapur requested the police to release the shoe thrower.
Meanwhile, Parliamentary Leader of the PPP in Senate Sherry Rehman said the PTI’s criticism of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, who highlighted the Kashmir issue before the world, is cheap politics.
“Those who are pointing fingers on the role of ZAB in Kashmir should look at themselves,” she said, while responding to Ali Amin Gandapur’s statement.
“Those who offer bribes of crores of rupees for a single vote have no knowledge of history or morality,” Sherry Rehman said.
She said vote traders and non-serious people are weakening the Kashmir issue. She said those who were involved in rigging in Gilgit-Baltistan have come again to steal Kashmir elections.
“The people’s heart could not be won through slander and rudeness,” she said, adding that the PTI’s minister did not have anything to criticise Bilawal Bhutto Zardari except character assassination.
