Ashab topples Noor in satellite squash quarters

ISLAMABAD: Ashab Irfan toppled world No 206 and top seed Noor Zaman in the quarter-finals of the $1,000 PSA Satellite Tournaments prize money event here at the Mushaf Squash Complex.
Ashab Irfan won 7-11, 11-9, 11-5, 6-11, 11-5 in 51 minutes to curtailed Noor’s progress. Noor the winner of the first two events could not maintain the same tempo and lost the quarter-finals following a hard-fought match.
Results (quarter-finals): Ashab Irfan beat Noor Zaman 7-11, 11-9, 11-5, 6-11, 11-5 (51 Min); Salman Saleem bt Asad Ullah Khan 11-5, 11-3, 7-11, 11-8 (30 Min); Hamza Sharif bt Haris Qasim 12-10,11-5, 11-8 (24 Min); Farhan Hashmi bt Waqar Mehboob 6-11, 12-10, 11-4, 11-3 (30 Min).
