Bilal, Amna crowned BoP National Junior Tennis champs
LAHORE: Bilal Asim and Amna Ali Qayyum were the winners of boys and girls singles titles of the Bank of Punjab (BoP) National Junior Ranking Tennis Championship 2021 here at Punjab Lawn Tennis Academy (PLTA) courts.
On the final day of the tournament, 10 title matches were played when Ijaz ur Rehman Qureshi, Group Head Operations BoP, distributed prizes after the finals.
In the Boys U-18 final, Bilal had an easy sailing over Uzair Khan. After winning the opening set 6-3 he saw his rival getting exhausted to heat and retiring at 1-0.
In the Girls U-18 final, Amna also prevailed over her rival, also in straight sets. Amna beat Zahra Suleman 6-2, 6-3.
In the Boys U-16 final, Bilal beat Abdul Hanan Khan 6-3, 4-6, 6-0. In the Boys U-14 final, Asad Zaman beat Ahtesham Humayun 6-4, 1-0 (red).
In the Boys/Girls U-12 final, Abu Bakar Talha beat Hamza Ali Rizwan 4-1, 4-2.
In the Boys/ Girls U-10 final, Shayan Afridi beat Abdur Rehman 4-1, 4-1.
In the Girls U-14 final, Amna beat Aleena 6-0, 6-1.
In the Boys U-14 doubles final, Asad Zaman and Ahtesham Humayun beat Abu Bakar Talha and Shehryar Anees 4-2, 2-4, 10-6.
In the Boys/ Girls U-12 doubles final, Hamza Ali Rizwan and Zohaib Afzal Malik beat Omer Jawad and Ismail Aftab 4-2, 4-2.
In the Boys U-18 doubles final, Nalain Abbas and Shaeel Durab beat Uzair Khan and Ahmad Nael 4-6, 6-3, 10-8.
