CJ SHC takes notice of Dodo Bhel murder

SUKKUR: Chief Justice Sindh High Court Justice Ahmed Ali Sheikh on Monday took a notice against the murder of a labourer, Dodo Bhel, who was allegedly tortured and killed by the security guards of the Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC). The SHC chief justice ordered the District and Sessions Judge Tharparkar to furnish a detailed report of the incident, while summoning the DIGP Mirpurkhas and SSP Tharparkar on July 13. The SECMC security guards had manhandled and killed labourer Dodo Bhel, working at the Thar Coal Block-II. The workers, who were protesting against the killing of their co-worker, were booked in 7ATA by the police on the directives of SSP Tharparkar Sardar Hassan Niazi.
