LHC Multan Bench issues contempt notice to petroleum secretary

MULTAN: The Lahore High Court (LHC) Multan Bench Friday issued contempt of court notice to the federal secretary petroleum for failing to appear before the court. The court also sought explanation from the secretary for not acting upon the directives issued in a writ petition filed by Awami Raaj Party chief Jamshid Dasti.
Dasti filed the petition against Parco Qasba Gujrat for closing the way for local population. Talking to reporters, Dasti said the court had ordered the secretary to solve the matter within 30 days after holding a meeting between the officials concerned of Parco and the petitioner.
