Blind murder case solved, three held in Hangu
HANGU: The police claimed to have traced and arrested three accused involved in the murder of an 11-year old child in the limits of Tall Police Station.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Superintendent of Police (investigation) Arshad Mahmood and others said that Muhammad Asim, a grade-III student, went missing from Afghan Refugee Camp area some two weeks ago.
They said that Amina Bibi, own mother, came to the police station and registered a case about the disappearance of her child.
The SP added that District Police Officer Ikramullah Khan constituted a team soon after the occurrence to trace the child and his kidnappers.
In the meantime, he said the mother of the missing child expressed suspicion over the second wife of her husband Gul Sanga. He said the police arrested the accused and her accomplice identified as Gul Zar Khan and Jumarat Khan. The official said that the accused confessed to have kidnapped Asim and then strangulated him.
The official said the body of the child was exhumed from a deserted place on the information divulged by the accused. He said the stepmother told the investigators that she did it because of jealousy.
