Khursheed Shah warns govt over terror attacks
SUKKUR: Pakistan People’s Party leader Syed Khursheed Shah has said Pakistan has been facing a new wave of terrorist attacks that are causing panic and fear among the people, while the government is on its mission to crush the opposition parties.
While talking to media persons on Monday outside of the NAB Court Sukkur, Syed Khursheed Shah said he was being punished for advocating the supremacy of parliament, saying the government and the opposition have not been performing their responsibilities. He said the country has been facing a new wave of terrorist attacks. He advised the prime minister to immediately consult with the opposition parties to discuss the current situation of the country. He said the government and the opposition should work together to get the country out of the FATF’s grey list, saying that he has been fighting against corruption for the past 32 years and he was being punished for it.
Meanwhile, Khursheed Shah, his son MPA Farrukh Shah, his nephew Sindh Minister for Transport Syed Awais Qadir Shah, his two wives and others nominated in a corruption case of Rs1.23 billion attended the Accountability Court, Sukkur. The NAB presented four witnesses to get their record at the NAB court. The NAB Court, Sukkur, recorded the statements of only two witnesses in four hours. The court later adjourned the case till July, while Shah on the production orders from the Speaker National Assembly left for Islamabad to attend the budget session in the parliament.
