5 FC personnel martyred in Sibi attack
RAWALPINDI: Five soldiers of Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan were martyred in Sibi, Balochistan, when terrorists targeted their patrolling party in Sangan area on Friday, the ISPR said.
During the exchange of fire, heavy loss was inflicted on to the terrorists in men and material. During the process, five soldiers of FC Balochistan also embraced Shahadat. Shuhada include Havaldar Zafar Ali Khan, resident of Lakki Marwat, Lance Naik Hidayatullah, resident of Lakki Marwat, Lance Naik Nasir Abbas, resident of Bhakkar, Lance Naik Basheer Ahmed, resident of Naseerabad, and Sepoy Noorullah, resident of Lakki Marwat. A sanitisation and search operation was launched to block the escape routes of the terrorists and apprehend the perpetrators.
The ISPR said such cowardly acts by inimical elements, backed by hostile intelligence agencies, cannot sabotage the hard-earned peace and prosperity in Balochistan and security forces are determined to neutralise their nefarious designs.
Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawad Chaudhry condemned the terrorist attack on FC patrolling team in Sibi.
In a condolence message, he said those who sacrificed their lives for the sake of country were the real heroes of the nation. He said the anti-state elements would not succeed in their nefarious designs.
