Hockey umpires fitness test

LAHORE: FIH Umpires Manager Rashid Mehmood Butt will conduct the annual physical fitness test of Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) umpires.
An official of the PHF said that it is to maintain the quality of umpiring and physical abilities of umpire according to the FIH hockey umpiring standards. He said that the physical fitness tests will be conducted from February 15 to October 1 every year. “It is mandatory for all umpires,” he added.
PHF has issued instructions to all its affiliated units to prepare their umpires for this physical fitness tests. Only umpires who will qualify these tests will have the opportunity for appointment in the PHF’s domestic tournaments and international hockey tournaments.
