SBP allocates Rs250 million for Hockey High Performance Centre
LAHORE: Sports Board Punjab (SBP) has allocated Rs250 million for Hockey High Performance Centre in Lahore.
Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Asif Bajwa and head coach Olympian Kh Junaid called on Director General Sports Punjab Adnan Arshad Aulakh at National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday, who revealed the amount to PHF officials.
Bajwa and Junaid expressed their gratitude to Adnan on the allocation for the project.
Adnan said that the centre would prove to be a revolutionary measure for the revival of hockey. “Definitely, it will be a great facility for young male and female hockey players from across the country. Our talented players will be able to polish their skills under the supervision of qualified coaches at the centre,” he added.
