Sit-in against gas loadshedding

CHAKWAL: Hundreds of residents of Mohallah Dub Road and other areas on Monday staged a sit-in at Tehsil Chowk against gas loadshedding in their areas.
The protesters chanted slogans against the government and the SNGPL authorities for observing unscheduled gas loadshedding. They also blocked the road for three hours in protest. Later, AC Musawwar Khan rushed to the spot and summoned the SNGPL deputy chief engineer who told that the gas pressure was low due to excessive use. Newly-elected councillors, Ch Khan Bahadur, Liaqat Ali Khan, Fida Hussain and Ch Mohsin Hassan Khan were included in a committee, which along with the SNGPL officials, would ensure uninterrupted gas supply to the homes of the protesters. Later, the protestors ended their protest.

CHAKWAL: City police on Monday arrested an outlaw and recovered an illegal 12-bore gun from him.
The police raided at Mohallah Gharbi and arrested Shahid Sadiq with a 12-bore gun and bullets. The police have registered a case.
