Sami storms into semis of PTF junior tennis

ISLAMABAD: Sami Zeb overwhelmed Huzaifa Khan in straight sets to move into the semi-finals of the 1st PTF Development Series Junior National Ranking Tennis tournament 2021 here at the PTF Complex

Sami won 6-2, 6-1. Also moving into the semis were Ahmed Nael and Mohammad Talha.

Proper arrangements were ensured for observing the Covid-19 SOPs and also for smooth functioning of the event.

Results: Boys’ singles Under-18 quarter-finals: Ahmed Nael bt Faizan Fayyaz 7-5, 7-6(3); Mohammad Talha bt Shaeel Durab 6-4, 6-3; Sami Zeb bt Huzaifa Khan 6-2, 6-1.

Girls’ singles Under-18 semi-finals: Amna Ali Qayum bt Farah Shah Khan 6-1, 6-0; Sheeza Sajid bt Zahra Khan 6-0, 6-0.

Boys’ singles Under-16 semi-finals: Huzaifa Khan bt Huzaima Abdul Rehman 6-2, 6-3; Uzair Khan bt Bilal Asim 7-5, 6-2; Abdul Hanan bt Shaeel Durab 6-4, 6-2; Talha Khan bt Ahmed Nael 6-2, 6-3.

Boys’ doubles Under-16 quarter-finals: Huzaima Abdul Rehman & Ali Talha bt Ahmed Nael & Hamza Aasim 6-3, 6-2; Shaeel Durab & Nalain Abbas bt Uzair Khan & Kamran Khan 4-6, 6-4(10-5).
