JCP recommends Justice Bhatti as LHC CJ

ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) Thursday recommended Senior Judge Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti for appointment as the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC).
Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Gulzar Ahmed chaired the Commission meeting at the Supreme Court.
The meeting deliberated upon the recommendation about the appointment of Justice Muhammad Ameer Bhatti as the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court. The incumbent Chief Justice Muhammad Qasim Khan is going to retire on July 5.
Justice Bhatti became Additional LHC Judge on March 12, 2011 and will retire on March 7, 2024 as Chief Justice of LHC. He is currently senior puisne judge in the LHC.
