Lawmaker inspects restoration work at Mingora grid station
MINGORA: Chairman District Development Advisory Committee (DDAC) Swat Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai on Thursday inspected restoration work at Mingora grid station, which had been affected by an inferno recently.
The fire incident also caused a disconnection of electricity supply to different parts of Swat district.
Superintendent Engineer Peshawar Electric Supply Corporation (Pesco) Swat Khalid Khan briefed the chairman DDAC on the rehabilitation work and said the work was started immediately after the incident.
He said that complete restoration could take two to three days while power on some feeders would be restored soon after the repairs.
He apologised to the people of Swat for the power breakdown. After the briefing, Fazal Hakeem Khan Yousafzai issued orders to Pesco officials to restore power on an emergency basis using all available resources. He also visited different parts of the grid station and inspected the repair work.
