Gunrunner held, weapons seized in Kohat
KOHAT: The police arrested a gunrunner and seized weapons during an action in Darra Adamkhel on Tuesday. Taking action on intelligence-based information, the police signalled a car (BRAA-114) for checking at Akhurwal in Darra Adamkhel.
The police recovered three Kalashnikovs, one each Kalakov and a rifle, two each pistols and mine detonators, over 10,000 cartridges of different bores, parts of various arms from secret cavities of car during checking
The alleged arms smuggler identified as Noor Baz, a resident of Akakhel in Khyber tribal district was arrested. A case was registered against the accused at Darra Adamkhel Police Station under relevant sections of law. The police claimed that the accused was a member of an inter-district arms smugglers.
