KARAK: The City grand committee has decided to boycott the upcoming anti-polio campaign due to gas and power issues being faced by the dwellers of Karak city.
This decision was made at the meeting of the committee held here on Saturday with its President Noor Ahmad Khan in the chair.
The meeting also opposed the decision of shifting some areas of Karak Southern Union Council from city feeder II to Jail power feeder and demanded to withdraw the decision.
The meeting claimed that the people were facing unprecedented power outages in the district and there was no gas available to consumers.
They complained that illegal gas connections were removed by the SNGPL authorities, who had promised to provide legal connections to the consumers, but to no avail.
