‘Election promises to be fulfilled shortly’

HAFIZABAD: MNA Mian Shahid Hussain Bhatti has said that the PML-N government is taking practical measures for eliminating terrorism, extremism, poverty, unemployment and loadshedding from the country and all election promises would be fulfilled shortly.
Addressing a gathering at Sukheke Mandi, he said that several projects were being completed to produce cheap electricity in the country and the government under the leadership of PM Main Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was striving to eliminate the energy crisis by the end of 2017.
Due to positive and result-oriented policies of the government, the country’s image was improved in the world, he added. He said that the federal and provincial governments were spending more than Rs 3 billion for executing different development schemes in the district. He said that gas and electricity would be provided to all villages of his constituency - NA-103 - by the end of 2017.
FREE COURSES: Free training courses in sewing, knitting, computer and beautician are being held at a vocational training centre being by an NGO and social worker Sh Adnan Aslam at Chak Chattha.
Distributing certificates to the successful trainees, social worker Adnan Aslam said that the women should avail the facilities being provided by him in the centre. He said that the trainees were provided free pick and drop facility.
WIDOW APPEALS FOR SON’S RECOVERY: A widow has appealed to the RPO and the DPO to order police to recover her son, who was abducted by unidentified people about 15 days ago.
The protesting widow, Rabia Bibi of Mohallah Tajpura, alleged that police were not taking interest in recovering her 24-year-old son Adeel and arresting the kidnappers.
BB’S DEATH ANNIVERSARY: A function was held in connection with the death anniversary of former PM Benazir Bhutto.
Speaking on the occasion, the PPP activists, including PM Safdar Kharal, Muhammad Yaseen and Muhammad Arshad Mehind, paid glowing tributes to the late Bhuttos. They pledged to complete the vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto and ZA Bhutto.
VAN BURNT: A van was burnt to ashes at a workshop on Gujranwala Road on Saturday.
The van was parked in the workshop for repair when it caught fire due to leakage of gas. As a result, it was gutted completely.
GREETED: The DBA members, including Mirza Ajmal and Mirza Tanveer, have congratulated Ch Muhammad Ahsan Bhoon, Ch Azam Nazir Tarar and Abid Saqi on their election as the Pakistan Bar Council members.
In a statement here, they said that it was a great honour for Hafizabad as they belonged to it.
