Five of a family among the dead

FAISALABAD: Seven people were killed and another injured in two road accidents here on Friday.
In the first incident, a speeding car collided with a bus near Deputywala Interchange on Motorway. As a result, Haji Muhammad Ashraf of Sarfraz Colony, his wife Zareena Begum, son Subhan Ali, relative Haji Saqib Javed and his wife Safia Bibi were killed on the spot. The family was returning after performing Umra in Saudi Arabia. On information, police reached the spot and shifted the bodies to the Allied Hospital for autopsy.
In the second incident, motorcyclist Muhammad Akram and his wife Rafia Akram, residents of Madni Chowk, were killed while their 10-year-old son Haider Akram was injured when a bus hit their motorcycle near Doctor Chowk, D-Type Colony. The injured boy was shifted to a hospital. Police have registered a case against the bus driver and started investigation.
BAHAWALPUR: Ten people were killed and 20 others injured in four road accidents here.
In the first incident, a bus was going to Lahore from Sadiqabad when it overturned while overtaking a trailer near Ahmadpur East toll plaza on Bahawalpur-Rahimyar Khan National Highway. As a result, Shahid and his nephew Rauf of Gujranwala, nine-year-old Farzana of Panu Aqil and Irfan of Vehari were killed on the spot while 18 others were injured. The injured passengers were shifted to the Ahmadpur East THQ Hospital from where seven of them were referred to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital due to their critical condition.
In the second incident, 18-year-old Salman and 19-year-old Qasim, both residents Mohallah Nawaban, drowned when their car plunged into Bahawal Canal near Khairpur Tamewali due to overspeeding.
In the third incident, a trailer collided with a motorcycle near Channi Goth. As a result, a woman of Tranda M Pannah and her granddaughter were killed on the spot while Hashim was critically injured. The injured was shifted to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital.
In the fourth incident, two motorcycles collided with each other in Yazman City police limits. As a result, Siraj and Madni were killed on the spot while Nadia Bibi was injured critically. She was shifted to the Bahawal Victoria Hospital.
GUJRANWALA: Three people were killed in two road accidents here on Friday.
In the first incident, Azam and Babar were on their way when a speeding car crushed them to death at Noshera Virkan. Police have registered a case.
In the second incident, Seema was killed and her son Abdur Rehman injured in a collision between a motorcycle and a van near Shera Kot.
TOBA TEK SINGH: A woman and her son died in an accident near Rajana on Saturday. Nazo Bibi and her son Mohsin were going to a nearby village from Chak 291/GB when a bus hit their motorcycle on Toba-Rajana Road. As a result, they were killed on the spot. Police have impounded the bus and started investigation.

Muhammad Ishaq, a resident of D-18 village, along with his sons Sadaqat Ali, 6, and Rafaqat Ali, 12, was on way home when a motor-rickshaw skidded off the road due to overspeeding and rammed into his motorcycle. As a result,
Sadaqat and Rafaqat were killed on the spot while Hafiz Ishaq, Amir Ali, Razia Bibi and Muhammad Habib were seriously injured.
