Haripur university regularises 100 employees
HARIPUR: The University of Hairpur has regularised the services of about 100 employees following due process on the orders of the Abbottabad circuit bench of the Peshawar High Court (PHC).
All the employees, whose services were regularised belong to Haripur and other parts of Hazara Division, said a press release issued from the office of Vice-Chancellor UoH Prof Dr Anwar Gilani on Thursday.
According to the press release, the two-third of the employees, from in BPS-1-16, were serving on a contract basis since the inception of UoH and their strength was more than 100.
Some of these contract employees moved the PHC and the Abbottabad circuit bench of the high court decided in favour of the UoH and directed the employees to participate in the selection process. The court had also directed the University administration to complete the selection process within two months.
The University administration, according to the press release, completed the task last week and the majority of contract employees got selected on merit and joined the University on regular basis.
While a few of the contract and daily-wage employees, who had been serving UoH for the last five to eight years, failed to secure positions and got relieved/terminated due to their ineligibility or low profile.
All the class-IV employees were selected from Haripur district and employees up to BPS-16 were from Hazara Division as per law, said the press release.
