Killer awarded death sentence

GUJRANWALA: District and Sessions Judge Habibullah Amir on Wednesday awarded death sentence to Muhammad Shahbaz in a murder case registered with Sadr police.
According to the prosecution, Shahbaz killed Muhammad Hussain on August 13.
CASE REGISTERED: Civil Lines police on Wednesday registered a case against the tehsil officer revenue and a patwari for threatening a citizen.
A case was registered on the application of Asif Ehsan in which he alleged that TO-R Haroon and Patwari Abdul Jabbar threatened him on telephone.
PRISONER DIES: A prisoner died due to heart attack at the Central Jail. Amjad Farooq s/o Ikram was arrested by Wahndo police in an attempt to murder case on December 22, 2014. On Wednesday, he felt severe chest pain and was shifted to the DHQ hospital where he died.
