PHC restores 22 teachers of Islamia Collegiate School
PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court (PHC) on Tuesday restored the services of 22 teachers of Islamia Collegiate School by declaring their termination order void.
A two-member bench comprising Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Miankhel and Justice Irshad Qaiser also ordered the registrar of the Islamia College University to regularise the services of the teachers as per the old procedure and precedent.
Fazal Wahab and 21 others Trained Graded Teachers of BPS-16 of Islamia Colligate School had filed writ petition through their lawyers Muhammad Essa Khan and Akhtar Ilyas against their termination from the job. The lawyers for the petitioners argued that the majority of the teachers were appointed in 2006 and some in 2010. They said that in April 2015, without any show cause notice, the registrar of the Islamia College University issued their termination order instead of regularising their services.
