Foolproof security to be ensured during Milad processions
From Our Correspondent
GUJRANWALA: Acting Commissioner Muhammad Amir Jaan Monday said foolproof security arrangements have been made to maintain peace and tranquility during Eid Milad-un-Nabi processions
Addressing a video link conference with all the DCOs and the CPOs of the division, he said all congregations and processions would be monitored through secret cameras as well as by plain cloth police to check any suspects or suspicious activity.
The Commissioner said development works on procession routes should be completed before the 12th of Rabiul Awal and asked Wasa to ensure water supply and drain out accumulated water on roads in addition to covering manholes.
He also directed relevant authorities to ensure security on roads and near places of religious gathering.
He directed the officers to set up emergency centres at all hospitals and ensure availability of doctors, paramedical staff, ambulances and medicines.
