Security for Eid Milad

OKARA: The RPO Saturday said that security plan had been finalised for Eid Miladun Nabi (SAW) and Christmas in the division.
Talking to reporters, the RPO said more than 1,500 policemen were assigned security duty at different points. He said special pickets would be raised for general checking and suspected persons. The police and security agencies would constantly watch the Milad processions and CCTV cameras would be fixed on all routes of the processions, he said. The RPO said in all districts control rooms would remain active in the DPO offices to monitor the progress of events, saying that peace and order in the districts would be maintained with the cooperation and coordination of Ulema.
COPS PUNISHED: The DPO Saturday awarded punishment to policemen for their poor performance and misconduct. The DPO halted one-month increment of the salary of the SI Manzoor Ahmad. He censured SI Irfan Rasool, ASI Mehboob Alam and cop Javed Ahmad. ASI Sher Muhammad was demoted as head constable, ASIs Mohsin Ali, Shafqat Amir Haider, Muhammad Abdullah’s one year service confiscated and one year increment halted and two-year service of ASI Mushtaq Ahmad was confiscated. One year increment of ASIs Riaz Ahmad and Mushtaq Ahmad was halted. The DPO fined constables Aftab, Muhammad Afzal, Abdul Qadeer and constable Javed Akhtar was dismissed from service.
