No show-cause issued to Haripur varsity: RTIC
PESHAWAR: The Right to Information Commission Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has said that no show-cause notice has been issued to the University of Haripur over non-submission of information.
Responding to a story filed by the correspondent of The News in Abbottabad which appeared in the daily on December 14, 2015, the Communication Section of the commission stated that the news item was based on false information.
The communication said the commission believed in transparency and accessibility of public documents to masses in the most possible convenient way. “That is why all the information about the RTIC, including show-cause notices issued by the commission, are uploaded to the commission’s official website WWW.KPRTI.GOV.PK, as soon they are officially issued,” said the clarification.
Meanwhile, the University of Haripur also denied having received any show-cause notice from the commission. A press release issued by the additional registrar stated the university fully cooperates with the commission as per law.
